Your dream clients don’t know you exist.*
*Yet.
Feel like you're invisible to potential clients?
Or maybe the clients you DO find make music you’re not passionate about?
I know firsthand how brutally hard a career in the music industry can be. The late nights second-guessing yourself and burning out from pain-in-the-ass clients who don’t appreciate you. I used to constantly question if I had what great artists really wanted in a mixing engineer.
But here's the truth - you have the talent and vision worthy of your dream clients. You’ve developed something special, and I can show you how to magnetically attract your ideal clients so they can’t imagine hiring anyone else.

What do Adele, Foo Fighters, Rihanna, The Killers, and Weird Al Yankovic have in common?
They’ve all worked with my students.
Am I saying this to “brag”? Of course not. If you know me at all, you know that’s not my style. I’m saying this to share a valuable insight:
These studio pros were already working with successful, famous, high-caliber artists… but they still needed help with branding, client acquisition, and income generation.
So despite many of my students having Grammys, Emmys, Junos, ARIAs, and other awards…
Or having Billboard #1 hits…
They weren't actually getting as many clients (or as much income) as they wanted.
The good news is: All of this is fixable.
With a few upgrades to your branding and client acquisition methods, you can massively upgrade both your clientele and income.

Don’t just listen to me.
“I've been applying Carl's strategies of making social content as social proof. It feels like my internet presence is actually starting to show my true bonafides in the industry for the first time ever. Not only that, but my overall reach on instagram has gone up 1825% CONSISTENTLY over the past 6 weeks. It's been wild to see. And my reels consistently reach 80% non-followers, which is great. Many more of my new followers are actually musicians and it feels like I'm bringing something of value to the community that I don't feel gross about.”
Nick Nagurka (Theo Katzman, Vulfpeck)
“Within a year of working with Carl, I got my first number one. And from there, all of a sudden I started working on major label songs. [...] What I got from Carl was invaluable, which was the mindset of: “Where am I needed the most based on my skill set?” and “How can I pitch myself to people effectively?” I can truly honestly say if I had not worked with Carl, it would have taken me a much longer time, [so] it has paid for itself very quickly. Thank you, Carl.”
Lucas Gienow (Billboard-Charting Vocal Producer)
Carl has helped me to see a whole new approach to marketing my mixing business. One where I can present a much more comfortable and natural version of myself to attract my ideal clients. These clients can finally see my personality and tastes, leading to a much better alignment with clients who make music I love.

The Obligatory Third-Person Biography
Meet Carl Bahner - mix engineer, educator, and brand strategy supernerd. He’s on a mission - well, TWO missions:
to use his unique tastes, experiences, and perspectives to help artists and producers make absolute BOPS, and
to help other studio pros clarify and communicate their own unique tastes, experiences, and perspectives to attract their ideal clients (also, for BOP-making purposes).
Hailing from rural Lancaster, PA, Carl has made a name for himself internationally as a team-builder and sonic wizard, focusing his boundless enthusiasm on music that's playful, memorable, and full of life.
Working with artists like The Wombats, St. Lucia, Joywave, and Hippo Campus, Carl has proven himself to be highly adept at producing playful earworms tailored to fit your ears like a favorite t-shirt.
Applying a contemporary slant on the "Wall of Sound" style to his productions, he offers his bright-eyed and open-hearted perspective by creatively framing vocals with imaginative instrumentation. He blends the organic with the synthetic, the digital with the analog, and the modern with the classic—resulting in rich, vibrant music that's full of life.
But don't be fooled by Carl's youthful energy and infectious enthusiasm – he's a seasoned pro who's honed his skills on stages around the world. As a performer, he has toured extensively in the US, Canada, and the UK, and his music has been featured in film, television, and even Guitar Hero: Live. Carl has also performed on stage opening for acts like Walk The Moon, X Ambassadors, Charli XCX, Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness, The Wombats, Joywave, Years & Years, They Might Be Giants, Civil Twilight, The Hold Steady, Diarrhea Planet, Cold War Kids, The Gaslight Anthem, The Airborne Toxic Event, The Naked & Famous, and countless others.
In addition to his mixing and production work, Carl is an educator passionate about sharing his industry knowledge. He currently teaches music industry courses at Lebanon Valley College.
Recently, Carl released an online course called "Communicating The Care: Attracting Your Ideal Studio Clients" aimed at helping studio professionals clarify their unique perspective and connect with ideal clients. Through the course, he provides strategic branding advice to pros seeking meaningful projects and collaborators.
So if you're an artist or producer looking for a mixing engineer who's as dedicated to your vision as you are… well, you just found him. With his craftsman-like approach, infectious enthusiasm, and commitment to collaboration, he's the perfect partner to help you bring your music to life.
And if you’re a studio pro looking for a guide to help you become irresistible to your ideal clients so you can help bring their music to life… well, you just found him too.
He cares about more than just the music. More than just the vanity metrics. More than just the payment notifications:
He cares about making sure artists build deep, meaningful relationships with every member of their team - whether he’s on that team or not.
